WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast

Find every spot in a PDF that misses 4.5:1.The way a complainant would.

Each page is measured character by character in three PDF engines, read with OCR for text hidden in images, and checked for form fields, comments, hidden layers and graphics. Every failure is boxed on the page with its colors and ratio.

    Test settings

Every way the checker tests contrast

Thresholds: 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text (18pt and up, or 14pt bold and up), 3:1 for graphics and form controls. Ratios are never rounded up, so 4.49:1 fails.

Semibold and medium weights are treated as regular, and text found by OCR is treated as regular weight. Both choices are the strict reading, so a tester can't claim a lower requirement applies.

    Client report

A short, branded brief for your client: what fails, a sample of up to 3 marked pages, and the NightPass price to fix the whole document.
